Thakkar Bapa Seva Sadan gives vulnerable, orphaned and abandoned children in Belpahar a safe home, an education, and a path to a dignified, self-sufficient life.
Thakkar Bapa Seva Sadan (TBSS) is registered as a not-for-profit, non-religious, voluntary organization based at village Garrakhai in the Belpahar town of Jharsuguda district. It came into existence on 1st April 1984, bearing society registration number SBL No-950-30 of 1986-1987, through the determination of social worker Ms. Arati Biswas and other like-minded people. Today the organization receives grants from the Department of Women & Child Development and Mission Shakti, Government of Odisha, and is registered under the JJ Act as a Child Care Institution (CCI) for the care and protection of Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP).
